Hey I would probably say do a road trip as you will get more riding in, glentress is pretty cool and has mixed levels of riding with good black/red runs and jump freeride park. 5 mins along the road you have Innerleithen which has awesome downhill and also xc.For these you can stay at the bike lodge

then you have ae forest which has fab DH and a freeride section with jumps etc. Fort William is defo worth the drive, awesome DH and xc if you want?? also 4x and theyre busy on building another DH track as we speak, might be ready in time for your trip?? you can stay at Glen Nevis campsite.Lush showers there Smile

Along the road east from Fort William you have Laggan Wolftrax for good black/red runs and a jump park. have fun xx

If the area is run by the forestry commission they say that chicken wire will trap the local animals and birds .
I shall try to get down later this month weather permiting , i am off to chicksands this sunday .
